Body found by 18th st bridge

I seen on twitter that a body was found by some fisherman by the 18th st bridge by the Corral Centre. Went by at lunch and cops were on site. Has anyone else heard anything of this?

Sun and CKLQ links are below as well as tweet embeds. The body of a male was found in the area around 10am. Foul play is not suspected by has also not been ruled out. Police are expected to release more information later today.

It's apparently been a good day for pulling bodies from the rivers... they pulled one from the Red as well this morning.

The release put out later in the day by Police:

[i]Body Discovered in Assiniboine River.

At 10:05am on July 22nd, 2015 Police received a report of a possible body in the river under the Thompson Bridge. BFES along with BPS attended to the River under the Thompson Bridges and discovered the body of a deceased male in the water. Police continue to investigate and more information will be released as it comes available.[/i]

Further information released today by Police:

Update – Body in the River July 22nd, 2015
As previously released, on July 22nd, 2015 shortly after 10am Police received a report of a possible body in the river under the Thompson Bridges. Attending members located the body and have since identified him as a 47 year old male from Brandon reported missing in the early morning hours of July 22nd, 2015. Family members have been notified and the incident is not being considered suspicious. The deceased males name will not be released.
