I don't know...but as a cat owner who has never allowed the cats outside, I wonder if the neighbors appreciate your cat digging in their flower patch, etc. And of course as Im sure you must be aware of...it is the city law that all pets must be kept on leashes or in your yard. Not to mention that the cat could come back with parasites or worse....as the original poster said, be run over by a car. Not judging you, I understand that you want your pet to be happy.....just pointing out the other side. " |

I don't and would never let my cat run free or dig in neighbor's gardens. Perhaps I wasn't clear.
My cat is either safely tethered on a light long rope near me to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air while I'm working outside, or loves to lay in the sun on a patio in a tightly fenced yard as we sit together. The cat is very content. In fact, after a bit, prefers to go inside.
Sorry for any confusion. I meant to convey with an indoor cat, they can appreciate a little supervised sunshine and fresh air.
