Adopt a school with Coles - Valleyview

Valleyview Centennial School has been 'adopted' by Coles in the Brandon Shopper's Mall. This means that if you go online and adopt us, we will receive free books for our students. If we receive the most 'adopts' in the province, we win $10 000 worth of books! That would be amazing! Help us get more books in the hands of our students! Click the link below

Elkhorn school won this last year was a great event for them. good luck to your school.

I am not saying anyone would cheat but last year another school was neck and neck and later lost with several votes being fake from extra profiles not real people.

We are starting to get creamed because the other schools are getting books donated ($12) which gives them 10 "likes" although the lead school has almost maxed book donations so we might start catching up after they max and if enough people here just do the free vote option.

I doubt we will win if people don't pony up some cash.

Also have you looked at the school budget of $/child for books? The site claims that a healthy library requires $30/child

I haven't pulled anyone else in MB yet (not the worst school is in the territories) and they all look bad but Valleyview stands out as being a lot worse than the other 2 Manitoba Schools.

It would be interesting to correlate academic performance with library budgets. I might have to look into it.

a lot of reminding people to vote. last year when Elkhorn did this I got notices on facebook too. hope al the parents are getting into the campaign as well. I know nothing about this school. I am not from Brandon but I have voted a few times keep voting people your school will love you for it. reading the best gift I ever gave my kids.
