Trying to get a bit of a head start on planning and just wondering what there is to do around the city of Brandon for a Staff Christmas Party. What are some of the things your workplace has done in the past? We have a staff of approx. 7 plus spouses.

I was part of a small staff (at the end there were only 40 of us) at CKX.  
For years Christmas Celebrations we a present, complete with a special invite from the Craig Family and the key was mixing with everyone and forgetting work.  
Later on, we had a Christmas Party in the CKLQ lounge at the Keystone Centre, we played a few party games & bowled on a WII games system, a tradition was for people to get up & express thanks to other people on staff.  
We also had a winter hayride at a farm, make sure there's lots of hot cocoa.  
One other year, we had a February Curling Tourney at Shilo, Called it "The Friar".  
We also had a beach theme "the Forget February Frolic" at one party.  
Another time we had a car rally,going around having a meal one course at a time, then driving to another house- ala a scavenger hunt.  
At Christmas we always had Secret Santa & one year, we had pot luck supper in the station.

depends what your co-workers are like and how close they are. I also worked at a small company so there was no use in renting a hall or a banquet room.  
 
1 yr we did a pot luck at one of co-workers house and played games.  
 
Have done dinner at echo"s  
 
Did bowling and then supper upstairs at huggies lounge.  
 
We also did the secret santa.  
 
I would book now, a lot of places are booked by October for the Christmas season and you dont want to miss out on a place you really want on a date that work for everyone.
