Actually, Tuesday was the last day to vote at the EC office in the Towne Centre. The only place you can vote now, if you haven't already, is at your assigned poll location on election day, Oct 19.

Harper controls the budget for Elections Canada. With his budget slashing, not just the fat, but some muscle and a few knicks of the bone, it is no wonder that it is not working right.  
 
Given that they had the longest time available to get things organized, why did they wait until the last three weeks to mail out the cards? Why did they not mail them out in August or the first week of September so the errors could be corrected in a timely manner.  
 
I am wondering if some of the jobs were outsourced to a foreign country with cheaper labour that did not know the geography of Canada .... Transparency and clarity of Elections Canada would be interesting.

yes the only election to have run this way is under Harper's rule lol  
 
EC which has no political affiliation has always run this way and the RO have always only had so long to organize and so much of a budget, the staff have always been filled with temps (they are still accepting applications BTW) and the procedure have been the same for a while  
 
if you do have a complaint tho, especially about accessibility, EC do have forms to fill out that will be passed up the line to improve the system, i suggest anyone who is unhappy contact EC and file a complaint or suggestion but if you hadnt used one of the alternative ways to vote then you are out of luck this time and will have to vote at the place assigned

I kinda find this whole thing funny. You do realize that in all of Manitoba, outside of taxi's Winnipeg and Brandon are the only places with public transit. I wonder how the people in other cities get to the polling stations. The first time I voted, the Liberals were in power, the closest polling station to me was a 7 minute walk...but my polling station was a 25 minute drive. The city boundary was the middle of the street I lived on, so I was considered rural. I can't wait for this election to be done, I'm tired of almost everything being Harpers fault (and I'm not a supporter).

We live outside of Brandon in a small town, that has a polling station, our voter card says to vote here, my neighbors says to vote in a town 10 minutes away.. it makes no sense.  
I am not completely sure but you are technically aloud to vote at any poll aren't you? I could be wrong but its something to look into.

As JR correctly posted, if you haven't voted by now, the only place left is your assigned poll location on election day.  
We all had weeks to vote at an election office by special ballot,and 4 whole days at the advance poll, so really no one who wants to vote has an excuse.

When he called, they told him there was nothing they could do about it. Maybe he should call the party he wants to vote for and ask for a ride on Monday... "

If you find it more convenient, you can vote at any Elections Canada office across Canada.  
 
Visit the office before the deadline of Tuesday, October 13 at 6:00 p.m. Offices are open seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., except for Saturday, October 17, when they will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Bring your proof of identity and address.
