Was just wondering if anyone had used them nail caps for cats to prevent them from scratching and ruining your furniture, do they work? Would like some info on them from users instead of De clawing

Better off to train them with a stern voice and spray water at them.

We use them and they work great! They don't all fall off at the same time, so you have to replace them individually. Depending on the cat, it may be a two person job. Trim the nail first and hold onto the cat for a few minutes afterward to make sure the glue dries. They will try to chew them off initially.

If you don't want your furniture ruined then don't have a cat. A cat is naturally a wild animal and they need their claws. To cap their claws is comparable to the cat being dead. To domesticate a wild animal is a selfish human want.

Pretty sure my domesticated pet would rather be alive, being spoiled rotten with caps on his nails then dead

Some of the comments here have been very entertaining indeed. I've been using the brand Purrdy Paws for three years on our one cat and he hasn't choked on them and he seems to be enjoying being alive as well. The other cat we have doesn't need them as he only claws at his cat tree and doesn't damage the furniture at all. The easiest way to put them on I find is to have a few already filled with the glue and then have someone just hold the cat up for 20 seconds and I slip them on. He then is distracted with cat treats for the next 5 minutes until they dry. I hope my process doesn't come off as too terribly inhumane...
