Does anyone know when they are supposed to be on duty? It's already almost the end of October and none of the cross walks my children use daily have patrols... Last year there was a lack of consistency also... Who is in charge of this?

I think it's the school itself...at least it used to be.

I think it's up to the individual schools. But the patrols are volunteer based, if the kids don't want to do it, there won't be a patrol.

COPP was doing several schools on volunteer basis, but due to shortage of volunteers, some crossings had to be dropped, but they are able to continue with the crossing on Richmond and twenty second for Meadows School, but even thats iffy some days because of the lack of volunteers. This group has been actively trying to recruit more volunteers for school crossings for several years, but unfotunetly with no success
