Yes it is going to be reported.  
 
Just wondering if anyone noticed or had their own tires slashed last evening.  
Our daughter found 2 of her tires flat and one of her roommates tires flat this morning.  
 
Vehicles were parked on the street in well lit area of Assiniboine Ave.  
 
We have not seen them yet as we do not live in Brandon. Just looking for witnesses or others in similar situation.

and expensive! I wonder if MPIC covers the cost of replacement?

I did have someone rifle through my cars last night. They managed to get away with a couple papers and about $4.00 worth of change though.

They just stole some change from my car and rifled through the interior of mine as well around those dates...

Not a chance. Even if they find the person who did it and manage to convict them.  
 
We had a vehicle hit along with about a dozen other vehicles about five years ago.  
 
They caught the 15 year old kid, got a conviction, but even though we all replaced our slashed tires and were asked to forward receipts, they crown was only able to use that to up the conviction rate.  
 
The only offer of "compensation" we were given was numerous (and I mean numerous, like five or six) letters from the police department telling us if we needed victim councelling we could have it for free.  
 
Can't recall exactly what this kid got for punishment, but it was basically a slap on the wrist.

Covers replacement for tires that are slashed 100%. This falls under your vandalism coverage in your policy.  
 
In relation to the youth having to pay for the costs, sucks he didn't have to, but that doesn't have anything to do with MPIC

interesting learning experience for sure. too bad people in each office did not know for sure who's responsibility it is. She has been getting the run around from 3 places this morning. Everyone is passing the buck. Sounds like not an issue for the police. Just report and move on.

First off a joke to say the best of them will cover a partial cost but not full costs of tires. If you can produce receipts. I know first hand I had my tires slashed this summer. The tires had been new last October or November so at the time were about 7-8 months old. It actually costed me less to get them road hazard warrantied then the deductible. However now with this zero deductible that could be different. OP trust me I can feel your frustrations. Depending on the type of vehicles I may be able to loan you a spare tire you can pm me I'll check again this afternoon.

Mpi will only cover a pro rated amount on tires so if they are 50 percent worn you will only get 50 percent of the purchase price which although fair sucks for the person that has to pay full price for a set of tires they didn't need

I am not sure if it is true incompetence and people genuinely do not know all the rules, or if it is planned messing around to make people so angry they give up.  
 
I have never had a simple open and shut interaction with MPI. Every time I run into the same thing. Transferring around to different people who "might" know the answer, long delays, repeated calls in to see if anything has been done on your claim.....  
 
Worst part is I have never had any at fault accidents, I have always been the victim. I wonder if the person who is guilty of accidents gets screwed around as bad as the one who is innocent.
