im not sure how bad it is and i do understand some concerns but i also think of the property owners rights, i know bilaws dont favor this option tho but it always seems unfair when people move next door then want to change the neighbors yard
my grandma has an acre that was 5 miles out of town when she bought it 60+ years ago, it was all bush with a dairy and big barn down the road, over the years she and the family have accumulated some treasures lol, first car dad doesnt want to get ride of, old motor home, old school bus for storage, wood pile, those types of things well in the 60 years farms have come and gone and now the whole 1/4 besides her acre and the 5 besides here has had the bush bulldozed, that hid the treasures in the back, and fancy new house built, some where along the line they changed her zoning from farm to residential and she missed it so now they are telling her she can not have a burn barrel and she has to clean up her stuff, stuff that was there before any houses were built, the neighbors saw here place when they bought the fancy houses too, yet it has become her issue, with the clean up they are also demanding she paint her house and keep the grass mowed, she always mowed the yard but not the back acre ...anyway theres more but in situations like that it seems unfair that she has to change because the neighbors dont like it
same issue with no chickens in town, one can have a dog but dont dare have 3 chickens, sometimes i think its time we started a movement pushing people to mob lol
