There used to be free weekly poker tournaments at a couple of different locations in Brandon. This was a few years back but it was popular back then. I wonder if there is an interest in bringing it back?  

Is there any poker tournament at all around here?  

I have called around and as of right now there is no poker tournaments. If there is enough interest expressed, I will find a new location to host a weekly tournament, sponsors for prizes, and set up a schedule and points system.  
 

The Crystal used to hold weekly free poker tournies, but that is now defunct.  
 
I have a LOT of friends who play, and would attend again, a free poker night at a local venue.  
 
If you build it, we will come lol  
 
If/when anything like this is created, please keep us posted so I can spread the word and build the attendees.

I want that stuff is opening a new board game cafe, it will be open Jan 1 with seating for 80. They are developing a board game league with an emphasis on a weekly poker league. The venue will be liscenced with food and entertainment and will cater to all ages. Features will include poker, cribbage, rummy, chess, eating competitions, magic the gathering, yugioh, Pokemon, settlers of catan, risk, smash up, king of Tokyo, and large video game tournaments. ( smash bros, Mario kart, Mario party, mortal kombat, NHL, NBA, MLB , golf. The store will also have an 80"s retro arcade and a large retail component under one roof . James and all the friends of the store appreciate the ongoing support and the hope is we can create a fun all inclusive environment that brings laughter and friendly competition.
