I was at the store (Hurl's on 10th) and was buying something for supper for my little boy and I. I didn't have much money so I just got some milk and a large meat pie. My son wanted a treat but I was short money as it was and had to say "no" and to put it back on the shelf. An older lady came up to me and gave me $10 and said to buy more food and a treat for my son! I hugged her and wished her a VERY Merry Christmas! I was very moved by her kindness. So I hope she reads this when I say..."Thank you so very much, you helped ease some of the stress of the Holliday's...for me this year it's buy food, or a couple of Christmas gifts." Trying to balance both is very hard. Thank you again, words can't express how greatful I am. I hope everyone on ebrandon has a good holliday season this year!

Alot of the people including the new owners at K&M the old hurls on 10th are sweet. So glad someone was so kind. Merry Christmas to you both

You must carry a lucky horseshoe to have strangers help you so often! Nice people out there.

I try to help others whenever I can, and, yes, to have a stranger help me once in a while is nice. It doesn't happen often, but when it does I post a public thank you, so no, I don't carry a lucky horseshoe.....I just like to think that karma pays people back who are kind to others by sending others to help in a time of need...

To read a story like this. The media focus's too much on the negative, you know, there are good people out there doing good things. We just don't hear about it enough. Thx for sharing

I know how it feels to have to say no to the treats like that. I have to do it all the time. The other day I tried to buy baby food, milk, and toilet paper and I had to put the toilet paper back at the till. It's nice to hear some uplifting stories of kindness .
