Sorry if this has been brought up... I can't find a recent discussion about it.  
 
Have the lanes on 10th Street (both going north and south) changed back to the left lane is for left turns and straight and the right lane is for right turns only? They changed a while ago so that the right lane was for straight and turning right, but the past few times I've driven that intersection, people are going straight through both the left lane and the right lane. I didn't see the signs up that I'm pretty sure used to be there showing the proper lane to be in.  
 
Just looking for clarification so I'm in the correct lane and not causing havoc to those around me!

I've gone through there a few times over the last couple days. Did not think too look for more signs. I just thought that because you could not see the lines on the road that most were from out of town. Could very well be me! lol

Unless the city is going to hang overhead signs stating what lane is what these changes are stupid.  
3 times already this winter at various locations threw Brandon I have almost been hit, had to stop my truck in the middle of an intersection to keep from ending up on the sidewalk or jumping the curb. Seems that as soon as the arrows are covered up on the ground lots of people revert back to the original flow of the intersection.  

I've been wondering too! I've been following it like I did when it changed, where the left lane was for left turns and the right lane is for straight and right turns, but with the snow you can't see the arrows painted anymore so I have no idea if I'm supposed to stick with that. I agree that there either needs to be an overhead sign put up or another sign letting us know.

As far as I'm concerned, unless there is side or overhead signs at an intersection, the left lane is for traffic turning left or travelling through and the right line is for traffic turning right or travelling through. The city can paint all the arrows and lines on the road that they want, but they are meaningless without signs to back them up.

There are signs at everyone of these turn/through lanes. On posts before the intersection. What makes you think overhead signs would change anything?

Spoke to the city about this a year ago, and they said there would be over head signs put in the summer, but have seen none.

There's a few intersections around town that could do with overhead signs IMO. I could see why some may be in the wrong lane....I admit, I've been in the wrong one too! The park and 26th one has gotten me a couple times

In driving around today, I double and triple checked for signs at 10th Street and couldn't see any. At all of the other intersections that changed that I drove through there are signs posted. So I'm guessing that it's changed back to the "old" way on 10th Street... left lane is for straight and turning left and the right lane is just for turning right.  
 
From the couple times I drove through that intersection though it seems half the people are doing it each way... a little scary and kind of an accident waiting to happen, especially when it's slippery!

The left lane has always been for turning left and going straight. The right lane is for turning right. I live a block down and drive it every day. The arrows on the road (if you could see) would validate this.

I drove past 10th and park today. The sign is there directing which lane is for what. It's before the tracks so a bit of a distance away but it's still there.

On Park or 10th? I know the ones on Park are still there, but for the life of me I can't see any on 10th. Maybe I'm just blind haha!! At the other intersection, they are easy to spot with the orange markers so I'm not sure how I'm missing them. I live and work in the area so I use that intersection a lot so I'd like to know what is correct.  
 
I used the right lane to go straight a few days ago and got honked at and given the finger by a person going straight in the left lane, whicheck was when I stared looking for the signs. Then today, I used the left lane to go straight and the same thing happened by a person going straight in the right lane. I'm at a loss for what the correct thing to do here is.  
 
I'm assuming, since I haven't seen the signs that used to be there, that the left lane is now for going left and straight, as with any unmarked intersection.

Maybe shouldn't have said that because at times common sense doesn't apply. The reason I did say it has to do with traffic flow. Left turns usually yield to the flow of traffic, which, in my opinion, means that to have traffic flow without a lot of stops the left lane would be for left turn only, right turns are away from traffic flow which means they are a realatively safe turn on a green light, so traffic flow would be more constant in the right lane leading to better traffic flow, but I've been wrong before.

We still live in Manitoba. Paint gets covered with snow and ice. No overhead signs. No one knows what lane is for what.  
Same travelling East on Mctavish at 1st. They painted arrows but no signs.  
You can't do this half way. Sign it properly or put it back to how it was before someone gets hurt.

I have had several near misses at this intersection the past few days. I know I can just avoid it, but being that I've driven the same way to work the past ten years, it's just habit and I always think to take a different route once it's too late.  
 
Hopefully the city will put signs up sooner than later so that everyone does the same thing.

The city engineering dept has failed in it's professional responsibility to properly post the traffic directions with signage and lines.  
 
I expect nothing less from this city as I've come to learn that "professional" and "the right way" are only distant memories which no longer apply to today's Manitoba living. Maybe those things were never valid descriptions of how things are done around here, but I've lived in other cities in Canada, so for me I still hold onto the memories of using roads properly built-or at the very least, completed with the best effort to accommodate the users of the roads.

Going East on Park there is signs.10th and Park on the right go straight or turn right and same farther up. I had some one go straight on the left as well just yesterday. I just go slow as the didn't signal to turn.  
The signs are a ways back before you get to the corner.

why blame all on the city, the changes on 10th & park were done in september or early october, I have noticed the change and the new lines at 5:30am and I followed the new way since then. How come drivers stopped following since the snow came. Some of us do not need post signs to keep driving the new way, our brain just click. I have no idea at times how some drivers drive, they do not seem to be focus on the road, they just sit on the seat let the car drive straight is all...no thinking and no quick reaction.  
I wonder at times people taking pack of pills in one day how is their thinking and reaction on the ride. I am really not sure some of them look doppy to me and if you look druggy and then you are not all there plus if not eating properly to feed your body healthy food your mind isn't all there eitherbut that is my thought I do take any drugs/prescription and in the past when eating not proper and greasy fat food I would find myself tired and sleepy which all your daily movements whevever you go or do.  
Why always blame others (the city) for your action. Changes were made couple months ago so why you are not following it anymore. Signs would be for new comers but a bunch of drivers go by and aren't new drivers in this area.

People started using the left lane to go strait there again.. which it is not supposed to be.. it makes it super confusing and dangerous. I use 10th to get to work daily but have started to go a different route because i have no idea how we are supposed to drive at that intersection anymore

Unless your from out of town and aren't familiar with the intersections, drivers should know what to do at the intersection. There are sign posted at all three intersections along Park avenue that the city changed and these intersection have had these changes since summer of 2014. People should know what to do, its not that hard of thing to learn.

True... Park is straightforward because there are signs at all of the intersections, so even if you're from out of town, you should be able to figure it out.  
 
My question is about driving on 10th Street, where the signs that used to be there are no longer there.

I rarely use park and as far as I knew the right lanes on 10th and 13th were for right turns and straight but I got honked at by someone in the left lane who was also going straight on 10th then again a few days later on 13th have they switched these back? I haven't been again to check if there's signs

Indeed a sign posted on 10th street going North indicating right lane for turning right/straight and left lane for turning right. It was there a few months ago and than it was gone(not sure why, maybe disgruntled drivers? LOL). Any way a new sign had been reposted.

There is overhead signs on 10th but that doesn't stop drivers from driving in the wrong lane all the time! It's like the three lanes disappear! The city does a good job with scraping the streets so the arrows are visible but still no improvement! UGH!

Mean nothing to a lot of motorists. A prime example in winter time is southbound 18th between Park and Richmond. The right hand lane and the bus/turning lane become one. Drivers often straddle the lines between these two lanes, even though the lines are visible. This is just one example where drivers ignore the lines on the streets and drive where they want to.  
 
Southbound 10th & Park, is there a sign there? I don't recall ever seeing one there as to what lanes are what, and I've looked for the sign.

Looking at google maps street view they changed the East/West lanes as you can see a divider line and the picture was done June 2014. The North and South lanes still have one lane markings. I think the problem is that if the city wants to change these intersections put signs everywhere. A couple months ago I was driving North on 10th and I looked everywhere for a sign and didn't see one. If there is now one there great. Realistically if there is no markings on the road nor signage the lane is to proceed straight and not be divided. This is like First and McTavish. Everyone argued on here that there was two lanes to go East. Just recently the city changed this intersection too. They had to move the center line over towards the bank to allow two lanes like everyone was saying there was.

If anyone missed that, there are 3 lanes down most of 18th street!!! This has to be one of my biggest pet peeves with Brandon driving.

The sign is back up, but it is really hidden in the trees - they will need to put the big red squares on the corners like they have on Rosser at 18th.  
 
Not that people in this town follow signs though.....
