My wife and I are looking for some ideas for a small getaway for our anniversary that is coming up.  
 
It has to be somewhere close enough that we can go and come back the next day as we have a baby and would most likely only get someone to watch her for one night.  
 
Anybody have any ideas, besides Winnipeg? Or if Winnipeg ideas for there? Has anyone rented a secluded type cabin near here recently?

You could try Elkhorn Resort at Clear Lake. Go to the Solstice spa / have a nice dinner.

Believe they used to have individual chalets in addition to the main lodge. Should be a nice getaway.

The place he has posted a link to is only minutes south of Brandon. Very secluded. Very nice. Highly recommended

There is cabins for rent out by the casino in Carberry (not owned by the same people). They are less than a year old, nice and have outdoor hot tubs!!

We like elkhorn. The new pool is ready and the spa is nice, even if you just take in the pool and hot tub. Restaurant is good and the hotel sometimes has entertainment  
 
We really like the mariaggi's in wpg too though. Very nicely done themed rooms http://mariaggis.com
