hair! help.

I am wanting to cut my hair.
I have been growing my hair out for many years and I am very nervous. I found a cute short hair cut I'm thinking but it is very short.
Wondering if anyone has suggestions of where in Brandon to go to get this done? My hair is quite long and very thick. Also wondering if you have any tips for going short.

I recently cut my hair short. My tip would be to make sure it is low maintenance or be realistic with how much time you are really willing to take to syle it. I have no time to style my short hair, and now I HATE it. I totally regret it. When it was long I could just throw it in a braid or up and go.

I am just growing out my pixie now. I love my hair short and long. In between can be annoying for a few months. For me its totally worth it. Love the change.
I would only let Vince at Vigi's touch my hair when going short though!

Downfall of thick hair

I also have very thick hair, which is why i never cut it short. However, i do layer the heck out of it because it thins it out so its not as poofy. My mother is a hairdresser so i asked her about this, and she said if someone who has thick hair wants it cut short, it is best to layer it so it wont just be a poof! it will appear thinner at the ends with volume on top

listen to Caitlyn and her mom. Also, book at "consult" appointment with your hairdresser first, he or she may suggest some styles or cuts that are low maintenance and easy to grow out. Then you can take your time to decide

I love Teresa @ Chatters! Last summer I went from long hair to a chin length bob and it was great. I also have very thick, curly hair.

Definitely get a consultation first. I have very thick hair, keep it in a short style and love it. Do consider you will need to get it cut every 4-6 weeks to maintain a shorter style. And does take a while to style. Mine is good with a quick blow dry and some product.

Have to agree with the recommendations for Teresa. I don't have thick hair, but she has cut a heck of a lot off of my hair previously. She is very open and honest about what will suit and what is easy to maintain. She is also awesome at colour and has great chat!
