today Saturday the 16 of January i was getting a few needed groceries at sobey's on 18th street and when i tried to pay with my debit the transaction was declined we tried 3 times and it was still declined. the cashier canceled the transaction and put my bags behind customer service. i fanatically called my bank and discovered that i did not have enough in my account so i tried to transfer money from my savings account to make up the difference but i kept getting a message saying that the transfer was not possible at this time. i am now shaking because i could not pay for my things when the person from customer service came over and told me that someone paid for my groceries and the flood gates opened.  
 
so whoever you are that did this for me thank you from the bottom of my heart you have restored my faith in humanity.

That is so nice to hear!

On Monday, January 11th I left the house late morning and went straight to the Canadian Tire gas station. By the time I got there my drivers door had frozen shut and after several tries I couldn't get it to open. However I did manage to reach over and open the passenger door to ask the customer next to me for help. He pulled from the outside while I pushed from the inside and we got it open. Normally I wouldn't hesitate to crawl over the centre console but I'm 9 months pregnant! It wasn't necessarily a random act of kindness since I asked for the help but I certainly appreciated it!!!

It's always so good to hear stories like that. There are many good hearted people around us.

There are a lot of very good people in this city. Makes me proud.

my story reaffirms that there are good people all around us.

The line up was five or so and growing.  
The guy at the window was challenged and short about 50 cents.  
I went up and paid it. He said thanks.  
The cashier gave him change and.....  
He put it in the tips jar. I could not stop laughing.....  
The line moved along.  
 
I ordered the usual....$7.05 total,,,usually.  
 
The cashier told me a much lower number...I said, HUH?  
 
The cashier said I get the employee discount for helping that guy.  
 
WOW... What a great company!  
 
In case you didn't think of it.....  
 
My discount was bigger than 50 cents!

Has been randomly giving away free meal and ect as random acts of kindness! Hoping their acts will pass through the city! Great to see these businesses helping pay it forward! Amazing!!
