Just a reminder to Riverheights School teachers and parents ......  
It is an Offence for a vehicle to be stopped or parked on or within 3 metres (9.84 feet) of the entrance to a driveway Traffic By-Law Section 35 (Item (b)).  
Please.. Please.. Please stop blocking my driveway!  
Let your kids walk to school ... believe it or not it will do them some good.

The entire block in front of the houses is no park zone.

All by laws are posted where you park. If you park in the loop at the hospital, security is told to issue violations for the people that do not pick up and drop off patients, or for those that are over the ten minute time limit. I know from my experience, that when my wife came to pick me up from surgery, she could not get a spot to park to pick me up when she had our two little kids with her. Guaranteed there were people getting coffee while parked in the loop. I was told that the loop was not created for this purpose.

Many kids come from the 9 th Street area or other bus in areas like Brookwood so can not walk to school if they do not ride the bus. Also Riverheights has huge student numbers ( you may not know it if you do not have school age kids but it has the highest numbers in the city) so there are parking issues especially with extra bus zones now in place and parking lot areas now designated no parking. A big issue too is staff ( teachers and EAs use the street to park on as well to avoid the lot or park closer to a door. It is a crazy area to pick up or drop off in ....poor set up...especially on a gabage day. If you can walk....great! Most of us try not to block the driveways but there are those who regularily misuse the street spots and even park in some driveways to load and unload.
