to use up tickets from earlier in the season at the Dec. game. The person who gave you the tickets should of been aware of it. They've been doing it this way for a few years now.

The WK have 2 rain check nights, one earlier in the year for all games previous to that night, and then last night which was for the games from the last rain check night to yesterday. That's how it works, and has for some time. Unfortunate that you weren't aware of it, but that's their policy.

Sorry for your kids night being spoiled, but your rant is misdirected. It's crazy that you are complaining about a business giving away a free product, but in your view they aren't giving away enough for free. They have a clear policy in place that first half games can only be used for the first rain check game of the year and only second half games to be used at second rain check. Your displeasure should be at the person who gave you the tickets that should have been thrown away after the first rain check game once they no longer had any value.

not that i go to a lot of games but i did not know that about the rain check tickets, maybe not their fault but advertising that when they advertise the rain check night would be helpful

Advertise the dates for rain check night. I heard it on the radio yesterday.

I know you do it for one gotta do it for everyone but the rink coulda taken on prob another 1000 ppl at least I figure so. but i do understand both sides ur side and wk side. if the rink was full taking old tickets there be ppl on here mad they couldn't get a seat.

Same thing happened to me and my friend. We did not know about the specific date either so we felt kind of bummed about that and didn't want to pay either so we left. But we went to smittys and some kind stranger gave us their tickets and we ended up going! Thanks to that awesome stranger!!!

I had a few unused that went to waste. Was kinda rushed heading to the game or I might have taken them there to give away. Its nice that somebody was able to help you out.

On the backside of the front cover of the Season Ticket book it says the that tickets from Sept. 19 to Dec. 14 is good for Dec. 16 game. Tickets from Dec. 16 to Feb. 28 are for Mar.2.

But if you are not a season ticket holder,are given a couple of tickets- not the whole damn book, and do not go regularly of what use is this information?

about you and your son not being at the game. But now you know about the policy and can make sure you get valid tickets for the next time.  
 
There are some teams that have a much more restrictive rain check games. Here's the raincheck policy for the Owen Sound Attack of the OHL.  
 
'Our Raincheck Policy is as Follows:  
 
1) You must be an EARLYBIRD season ticket holder in order to have raincheck privileges. This means that the word "EARLYBIRD" is printed at the bottom left corner of each season ticket right above the individual ticket price. If EARLYBIRD does not appear on your ticket, YOU MAY NOT RAINCHECK TICKETS.  
 
2) You may raincheck unused tickets for Specified "raincheck" games only  
 
3) You may raincheck a maximum of 1 ticket per game per season seat.  
 
4) You must raincheck your tickets in person at the Box Office. You MUST raincheck your ticket(s) no later than 5:00pm the day prior to the game dates above. You may not raincheck tickets on game day. If you are giving tickets to someone else to raincheck, it is your responsibility to make them aware of our raincheck policy.'

Sorry for the embarrassent and heartbreak. We have season tickets, but otherwise would have no idea of the policy.

anyone was trying to make her feel bad, more like just informing of the policies in place.

last line the the Owen Sound Attack raincheck policy is something we as Season Ticket holders for any team or event should do. And is also good for ourselves to be aware of all of the policies that come with owning season tickets. And every team or event has varied policies.

Only 1 ticket can be rain checked and before 5. And has to be season ticket holder. so if I bought 1 game but didn't make it guess can't rain check. We did ours just before the game only had 1 tho

that Owen Sound's rules do not apply to the BWK. It was just an example showing that BWK rules aren't as strict as others.
