Would like to get my drivers passenger doors windows tinted and would like to know who in the area all does it for prices

My husband does tinting..hes tinted our windows in the past and has done work for others as well..its nice quality work..just buy the tint..

the allowable percentage of tinting on the windows for darkening? and what is a ballpark figure on how much it costs to install if I bought my own tint? Anyone know? Thanks

According to the Highway Traffic Act of the C.C.S.M. (Continuing Consolidation of the Statutes of Manitoba), passenger vehicles are limited to a maximum of 45% (+/- 5%) of light transmission blockage at the front side windows. Basically the law states that at least 50% light transmission is required. For rear side windows, the restriction is set at 35%, meaning there is an allowance of an additional 10% of tinting in back side windows. For rear facing windows, there are no restrictions. In all cases, the vehicle is also required to have both left and right exterior rear-view mirrors.

Is front window tint a Manitoba thing cause some other provinces it's not actually legal for any tint on front windows. Anyone know about this???  
 

Has anyone who is thinking of having this done checked with the vehicle manufacturer about the option of factory tinted glass rather than getting a film installed ( which will turn purplish under UV exposure over time )? My 2010 Honda Civic doesn't have window tint, but Honda does have factory tinted glass for my car. I just have to provide the part numbers and pay up front and they will order it.  

Cuz wen u order it u can order it 35% darker then 50 like the Cadillac are no fines then  

Thanks for the recommendations! And just to clear up the questions about tint and the factory tint....the front doors of any vehicle is 50%. The rear door AND rear windows are 35% on cars. On trucks, SUVs and vans the rear sides and rear windows have no restrictions. And no you cannot buy factory darker windows, all factory windows have a slight tint, but nothing in a 35%.
