Considering its being built behind Macdonald''''s in the empty lot to the north, I wonder which direction the building will face and what their going to do about the semi truck traffic that parks along the narrow road with no shoulders beside Macdonalds. Sometimes the road is almost impassible and down to less than half a lane in each direction.

I think this is awesome for Boston pizza! Good location idea too, air port is right there, people travelling through also all the people who live on that side of the city as well as work up there! Plus the hotels up there are always busy. And Boston pizza is always busy

This is great for Brandon all around, especially in a slow construction economy. There are many trades people still looking for work at this late stage of the usually busy construction season.
Is there any way you can provide a little more information on the link or where you are getting your information from?

Not so much a bypass, but maybe this is part of the new service road they want to put in so they can eventually convert the signaled intersections of #1 and 1st and 18th Streets with interchanges.

Like they talked about in the paper. It is to cater to the north hill residents and those traveling. Right now there isn't a whole lot of meal options on that end of town. I know when I travel I like something simple and fairly quick.

any work is being done at this location. I drove by there this afternoon, here is still a for sale sign up on the lot.

The pile of dirt/fill that was where Boston Pizza is going was hauled across the street to the empty site behind Comfort Inn. Not sure what they are going to do there though but I would imagine the piles on the site will be spread out at some point to level the site out.

That would be neat!! That's a busy corner already trafficwise and that might add to the bottleneck there but it's nice to know BP is expanding to the smaller towns.

Ya it's not a big town, but you also have the traffic coming thru on highway 16 and highway 5. Thousands of vehicle use those two highways daily. So yes the intersection is fairly busy. But a good location though.

Virden has a BP now. Not sure of their population but can't be too far off of Neepawas.

Neepawa wouldn't surprise at all... BP is clearly moving into similar markets. Also noticed them in Humboldt (5600) and Kindersley (4600) in Sask along with of course Virden.

It doesn''t say Boston Pizza in the article, but im thinking their talking about Boston Pizza in the article below. And I know the contractor named in the article built the Boston Pizza in Virden.

That may have something to do with the fact that the owner of the chain, Jim Treliving, is from Virden.

go there sometime, it is a very busy intersection. Not everyone on earth lives in Brandon you know and some people that do leave the city every once in a while which causes traffic outside the city.

Looks like BP Neepawa has been confirmed at the junction of hwy 16 and 5 as per MyWestman... aiming for an opening in the summer:

Handful of ads from BP in the classifieds today advertising positions for both BP South and what they refer to as "soon to be open" BP North. Must be getting close!
