Yes I know, it has been going on forever it seems. I get calls almost weekly. Today one from microsoft and later from windows ..uh huh.  
I told the caller there was nothing wrong with my computer and he got irritated. Next thing I know he was describing some rather vile things he was going to do to me finishing off with he would come up here and kill me. Hmm so much for customer service. I should have hung up, but I wondered what he was going to say. Now I know! sheesh

I lied and said "I don't even have a computer." They hung up on me. Lol

What we have started doing now is when they ask if your near the computer I tell them I have to go get it and will put them on hold the last time the guy waited on hold for probably 15 minutes before he finally gave up.

I have started doing what my friend does. Tell you have more than 1 computer (which he doesn't)and insist that they tell you which one is infected. When they get upset and say they can't, tell them that since they called me that they should be able to tell me since they are the experts!

I also tell the person I don't have a computer and they hang up right away.

Hubby got one this aft, I can't believe it's still going on.

Got one this morning from private number. His English had an extreme foreign accent so kept asking to repeat in English. Once he said windows I said I have a Mac and hung up before he started the threats like some people have received.
