The Young Man, perhaps the city should post speed limit signs in every block, or every intersection of the road and a private driveway. Perhaps they should install flashing lights on every stop sign for those that didn't see them. The Highways Department doesn't need to paint lines at every intersection because they have defined what constitutes a crosswalk in both the HTA and MDH. The very fact that you would post such a suggestion is proof that you are unsafe on the road. " |

Wow I can tell this is a really emotional subject for some. Reality is not everyone knows the law, that's why these discussions keep appearing on Ebrandon. Also a lot of people don't stop at marked crosswalks, let alone unmarked ones, I see it everyday and a lot of people don''t know the Highway Traffic Act or the what the driver hand book states when it comes to this issue.
But guess what, I know what the laws are and I follow them and stop for pedestrians. All I was saying is that painting lines on the road could be beneficial, not for me because I know the laws, but for other driver who do not. But even then you will still have drivers that blow right by. But I guess making a suggestion somehow makes me a bad driver?
Also no where did I post "misguided information and untruths", maybe others did, but not me and no im not at all a unsafe driver. You have no idea.
