There are 3 pokestops near New Era. 2 right beside each other in the front of the school, as well as one at the community garden next to the school.
Up on Braecrest there's only 2 pokestops, but Hanbury Hill always seems to have an abundance of Eevees. Clefairy is also frequently seen. Also, there's usually a lure up from about 6pm onward.
It seems there are a lot of pokestops downtown, so I would probably do what my Fiance and I did today which was park the truck and go for a long walk. We spent 2.5 hours walking around looking for pokestops. The downside to this is that there are a lot of weedles, caterpies, kakunas, ratattas, pidgeys and zubats. I think I saw 1 eevee the entire time.
We hatched a lot of eggs though =D
