Good day all. I am looking into getting a debit terminal and was wondering which one most favor. I know there are a lot of choices but Is there one that's superior for ease of use/ costs/ or trouble free?  
I don't want something that works off an iPhone or iPad. Do they all require internet connection or just phone line for some?  
Most seem like they charge outrageous costs per transaction, the norm perhaps?

We use Moneris at our retail establishment and love it! They are a little bit more money compared to other companies, but they provide excellent service and will send a technician that day or the next day at the very latest. They have numerous options and are very good at finding the best option for you.

Through Moneris is what I use. I use it through my phone and pay $19.99 per month plus a % for credit cards, debit transactions are free.  
They have fabulous customer service and easy to read/access reports.  
Customers get a text or email receipt, it accepts both chip and swipe cards.  
Can run on WIFI

They have been good to us.  
But if I could run a business without debit or credit  
machine, it would be ideal.  
 
Take a look at POS WEST, I have thought of changing  
over to this company to get a better rate.

Had wired and then tried Wireless, liked it so much switched full time to wireless way easier to move the handset than people around a counter or take to a office to do a transaction,and running on internet connection for fast transactions.

Have you considered Square?  
It is free to get and a small percentage of sales.  
We have both the POS machine in store and the square for on the road (or in store)  
We actually went thru POS Systems from Winnipeg for the machine and got large print on screen !

I second payd pro. But it's via my phone. They do have POS systems too, but I just wanted a remote debit/credit machine. Like it better than square for the credit side of it.
