Should any of you receive a call from Microsoft Security (or some such) it is a scam.  
 
Anyone who would like to speak to the company responsible can call 1-866-884-4335.  
 
I encourage one and all to call them, repeatedly (much like they do us), and let them know how little thieves are appreciated.

just tell then you don't own a computer and then keep them on the phone for 15 minutes, ask them how they would get your number, ask for their number, tell them to learn to speak English...I don't think the poor guy will be calling here again. Normally I just hang up, but seemed kind of bored when he called.

Minutes before I drove them over the deep end when in a pause in the conversation I asked if the computer had to be turned on for them to access it.

I was really proud of my elderly Father, I told him that nobody wound ever, ever call about your computer. If someone did it was a scam.  
 
One day he called me and said he got a call like this and said to them "find some other sucker you scammer!" Lol

Told them " My windows were fine. I just cleaned them with Windex. One of the cranks to open them isn't working quite right though....can you fix that ? ? "  
He actually swore at me. Lmao

When I get these types of calls, I like to play with their simple brains....I find it strangely entertaining. Awhile ago, I got the Microsoft call. My response just kept being "You know Bill Gates....you give me free compuuuter." in my worst mix of 4 or so different accents. It was amazing how many times they tried to explain that they are going to fix my computer, not give me a new one. And my response kept being the same. It took a good 20 minutes or so before they realized they weren't getting anywhere with me. So in his best English interpretation he says "Get Lost." and hangs up the phone. That was over 2 years ago and I haven't gotten another call since! LOL

Oh great! I've been having problems. I run a Mac computer with a Linux operating system running on a virtual drive through Windows, can you help with that?  
 
They hang up every time.

I've used this one - they REALLY get mad!! Snickers.  
 
I do like the one with the broken crank though, I may need to use that one.  
 
We need to keep sharing the word on these ridiculous scams, because as long as there is one person that falls for it, they will continue.

Haven't had a call for ages but I'm sure they haven't given up on me yet.
