I would like to know what RRC stands for and how  
Long is this course?

the paramedicine course is 11 months long, you get a 4 week hospital rotation for clinical and 4 weeks practicum with rural ems and 4 weeks with the city. class room study is 8 months plus the 3 months of clinical/practicum

Excellent program. Graduates of the RRC program have a very good reputation with the hospital-based clinicians and the paramedic services they precept with. The students come out of their classroom studies with the skills they need for field training, which can't always be said of other programs. RRC PCP (Primary Care Paramedic) grads also get looked at when it comes time to land jobs with local service providers. Be sure to ask about the financial help available to RRC students who graduate and take jobs in the PMH region.

I graduated a few years ago from Red River College's Paramedicine program, and I agree wholeheartedly with Grumpy Old Man In Training. It's an excellent program that thoroughly prepares students for the field.

What approx is the pay scale for a paramedic in this area

Starting approx. $23.50 I believe- $33.50 within 6 years for the PCP. Intermediate paramedics have a higher scale by a few $$$.

The problem is full time jobs are hard to come by in this area. Winnipeg, no problem, locally there aren't as many.
