I have noticed a few discussions about disc golf and Brandon.  
I have installed a few courses the latest  
In The Pas.  
I am originally from Brandon and feel that  
Brandon is an ideal place for  
Disc golf. Disc golf is an economical  
Recreation activity to get going.  
The Discatchers can be purchased for  
around $5000.00 for nine. Equipment for  
playing us around the ten to twenty dollar mark.  
 
Some one from Brandon needs to take  
the lead and get it done. I would be  
willing to help out with the course design.

I am thinking the biggest roadblock for this would be land. I did like playing the disc golf in Logan Lake BC where it was mixed open and hills with trees. Neepawa looks pretty basic wide open. Haven't played it yet. Would like a place to play where it isn't just wide open. Some tree structure would be great.

Enjoyed disc golf in Neepawa, wide open mostly, but trees often come into play, as does water if not throwing straight. Minnedosa has course too, maybe a bit hillier, think a work in progress, they will likely putting finishing touches on it in spring

Contacting UCT Brandon Council #448 as they are a great organization that funds sports. Maybe they would cover start up costs.

I've been disc golfing for years and have played tight tree lined courses in BC as well as very open courses like Kilcona in Winnipeg. Brandon city is trying to find ways to revitalize the river bank areas and now, over the winter, is the time to get things going for spring.
