Does anyone know what is causing all the noise in the evening? It's a mixture of what sounds like scraping, banging etc. I've only noticed it in the last week or two.

Possible trains? Street cleaning crews still out trying to clean up residential areas/ sidewalks?

I've heard it also and keep thinking they are in the area. But never see anything changed in the morning. Sure sounds like they are right outside my door.

If you are referring to the NORTH-West end of town, like by 26th & Rosser, it is likely the Dike construction going on by the Skating Oval

Crews could be scraping streets. They did some in east end the other night.

Live by the Victoria Inn and heard loud scrapping Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday night but haven't heard it since. There was one night when it's was really loud and then got really quit after about an hour or so. The noise also comes and goes and isn't consistent. The nights I heard it I thought it was city crews but when I looked on the snow clearing map it showed city crews clearing streets in the east end of town and between first street and 18th street south of Victoria. It could of been a private company doing snow removal somewhere or maybe dike work since I did hear they were working on the dikes at night, but other than that I can't think of what would cause that noise.
