for you people from Brandon, it won't be the funniest to stay, but the camp ground just east of Brandon on the Northside of the #1 is really good, if you have company coming from out of town looking to visit. The name is lost in my head right now, but I stayed there all last summer for work. It was very well priced, workers are super nice, playground is excellent for kids (even had a real old school mary-go-round). When the wife and kids would come up for the weekends they had a ton to do. I never saw them, but my youngest still talks about the walking trails and how he wants to go back this year just to walk them. Bathrooms & Laundry are clean and laundry is very well priced.
The downside to the place is the sites are still just like parking in a farmers field. There is no real privacy between the lots, but with that being said....it is very quiet (even on weekends when it's packed). I was concerned about the #1 & neighbor noise, but neither were an issue at all.
The coolest feature is the catch and release Trout Pond with the trained trout in it. Yes I said trained....cause they swam right up to my lure (you can see them), looked at my lure, bumped it a few times to tease me and swam away (and I think they were even laughing at me).
