So...what does everyone think of the budget ?  
Here's hoping Brandon sees some of that $177 million for education come outside the perimeter...but since there was still no mention of a new school for Brandon.....

Don't get me started on the Pallister government, and don't take this as the NDP was correct in the way they did things, but I feel that there were some cuts where the money could be better spent.

In saying that, I hope Brandon see's some of that cash, and I hate to be a pessimist but I'm going to go with highly doubt it.

Just hope we don't have a couple of billion dollar floods while he's in power..

I can't be the only one that thinks there's better ways to deal with the water...... open up damns in the fall when the water is low so we are prepared for the spring run off....... let it flood, shouldn't be building there anyway........ move if you don't like the water.....

He will only mention a new school for Brandon, when it is time for re-election. Til then Brandon is SOL for a new school.  
 
It's all about Winnipeg! I'm sure Winnipeg can get away without building a new school there vs here.

So mad about the tuition tax rebate cuts . The students really got shafted. The tuition will go up and with the rebates to keep students in Manitoba cut we will lose graduates to other provinces . Many who have just graduated or are graduating have been enticed by the promise of claiming some tuition rebate over the next few years to help offset huge loans. This is now cut to 1 $500 credit for 2017 tax year and then 0. Way to encourage young people to stay in Manitoba .
