Now that the warm weather is here the fly by night home repair guys will be going door to door trying to scam the less fortunate and the vunerable members of our society (seniors) There are many scams and various types of fraud occurring at any given time, and most often they target seniors. The City of Brandon, Seniors advocate and the local Police should get together to devise a series of lectures to educate the Public on how to recognize a scam or fraud and how to protect themselves against same. I came across this article from the City of Swift Current, Sask. which has chosen to become pro-active in attempting to protect its seniors from being scammed.
