Can anyone shed some light on the state of a usable boat launch in Brandon (Assiniboine R. accessible)? The launch that was available at the Discovery Center off Kirckaldy was an option years ago but has fallen into a terrible state due to city neglect and is in essence unusable. The launch project in Queen Elizabeth park was abandoned by the city after the 2011 flood and to my knowledge was never a thought again. There is a gated/locked launch in Dinsdale Park - my understanding is its run by a "Brandon Waterski" club. My attempts to contact them via email have gone ignored/unanswered. I'm assuming that has something to do with the fact I was up front with my desire to launch my small fishing boat and they're enjoying their monopoly on the water. Who knows?  
As it stands now there is no publicly accessible launch to my knowledge for the people of this city. There are many, many boaters that I'm sure would love to access the river again. Does anyone have any other info I'm aware of?

that whole section of the RDC was under water, it gets worse with every flood, and it is never cleaned or fixed. Sorry I have no answer for you about your boat launch, but if the state of the rest of the RDC is any indication, that launch may never open.

down by the water treatment plant on 26th, don't know if it still usable or not sorry.  
 
but i agree pretty sad state of affairs for the city not to provide some thing that is usable.
