Does anyone have a sandpoint (or know someone) well in the Willowdale area? Specifically Winter Bay/Wankling area. Would like to know if its worth the time and effort to try and put one in or not.

I have a sandpoint. I live just off the traffic circle on 34th & Willowdale. It was put in prior to my buy the house, 20 years ago and has been faithfully watering my yard for all these years. Saved me a ton of money in water bills.I did have to replace the pump about 5 years ago but the cost was insignificant, compared to the money I have saved. However, my neighbours on either side have tried to put one in and were unsuccessful. Not everyone can get water.

i know lots of people in the waverly area have them: and I also know brookwood you need to go at least 60+ feet before water making a sandpoint a no go. They are definitely worth doing just make sure you witch the area before you dig just cause guy beside you has water doesn't mean that stream runs thru your yard. They are rather easy to do I Have dug a few in my time

We dug one in for my cousin on Wankling.  
 
Took samples to the well guys and said the sand there was too fine.  
 
We did hit water but he had the finest screen on the point he could get and still plugged up.
