Do you have mice problems in your house? Any advice or suggestions? How to get rid of them completely? How much does it cost to get an exterminator to look? Help ...

Can you borrow a friend's cat?  
They are the best mouse catchers ever.  
 
On 2 different occasions I never even knew I had a mouse but my cat did. He stayed up all night and caught them.

Not sure if you've thought of getting a cat?  
They are great mousers!  
Some businesses use them to keep rodents  
away!

If anything, he will watch the mice. lol  
 
If we get mice, they are between the floors so the cat can't get them anyway. We always have traps set in that area. If we get one mouse, we will catch the other usually within a couple of days. I wish that I knew where they were getting in the house...

Not an option. My dog hate cats

Jack Russells were meant for hunting rats. Perhaps they would go after mice too?

Have you checked for small openings around the outside of the house? dryer vent, do you have a doggy door ?.I like the snappy traps .

we had mice in our trailer and found a couple of holes and filled them with steel wool.  
 
We also bought a pest chaser and have never had a mouse since.

I looked at the Canadian Tire site it says 4 for about $ 442.00 .

Doesn't work, at least for me. I put some around a spot where mice were getting in. A couple of days later, they had chewed through it. Tried it again, same thing. Then I used steel wool and problem solved.

they only show one different style at Canadian Tire. $43.00 pkg of 4, $30 for package of 2.  
 
Try this link from Home Hardware, they show different ones. If the link does not work, just google Home Hardware, Brandon. Then in the search bar - Pest Chasers. Also if Home Hardware has what you like on their website, but do not have it in the store they will order it, no shipping and call you when it comes in.

We have mice for the first time this year. There's so many of those stinkers in the yard, I see them running around in broad daylight.  
 
Anyway, they found an access point under our front stairs and got in. We've trapped 3 at that point (and found no evidence that they got any deeper so far). There's a new spray-foam product out there that has a poison e:mbedded in it that if they try to chew it they will die. It's called Pest Block.

I t has been a horrible year for mice. We usually get one or two in the fall but it has been non stop since last winter....I have caught seven in the past two months.  
 
And yes, we have two cats and a terrier (which are born ratters), and only the persian has just started to care about catching the damned things. I didn't think her mouth was even big enough to catch one!!  
 
We have been filling holes whenever we find them - I did not know about the poison infused foam - I will have to look for it.  
 
Anyone who has the deterrent things - it says safe for "non rodent" homes. As we have a hamster in the house, I can only assume it is not a good idea? Anyone have thoughts on that? I would not mind trying them.

We put peanut butter in our traps and always get them within a very short time. Like minutes. If its taking you a few days to trap them switch to the peanut butter.

Has anyone used this for bigger rodents like ground squirrels or gophers ?
