" My posts get edited for "snark" for saying google is your bestfriend, when trying to advise people on where to find information they are looking for it, but this a**hat gets to just poopoo all over this poster and none of the admins seem to care. " I have had my share of blocks for saying Google suggests posts. Now you want to name call me for reasons unknown(which is against the forum rules but I won't hit the report button). I simply said it would help to use sentences. Heck point form would be easier to read. I was purely cleaning up what was said and the OP could easily chirp in and let me know if I was right or wrong.     Sorry I am not the typical eBrandon poster giving sympathy. Is it better if I would have said....     "Oh that is so sad that you got a ticket for parking in a parking controlled area and having an expired parking card. Yes you should have only gotten a warning every time you don't renew your free parking pass. To take it even further the city should be mailing out reminders to those with passes coming up for renew to get their butts down and get it renewed. I would call your local MLA/MP/Media and complain about this. This is absurd after 5 years of following proper protocol you forget. I mean really the city should just forgive."     Would that make things better? Good grief Lol.     Oh and loeog there was no personal attacks to anyone. If you feel there are there is a nice little button that Adam put in to "Report This". Feel free to press it on my posts. " no one was asking you to give the poster sympanthy.     All you did was talk about his/her grammar, which was not the issue, you obviously figured out what was meant, so no need to bring it up.     No need to bring up all the things you had to remember to get either, that was not what the poster was wondering about.     I do wish the poster would come back and reply, with a bit better explanation, so advice could be given. But, I suppose they would feel attacked if something wasn't right.     Too bad nothing was helpful or informative for this poster. "

Do you have anything useful to say to the poster or is it going to be "Oh Fishin Guy is picking on her grammar let's focus on that still."

At least I told them-Missed your renewal, get a ticket, pay the fine. They just want a warning instead. You broke the rules you pay the fine. Simple as that. My informative posts, one gave a link to the parking rules explained. What have your posts done?

Ok Brenda, I don't want to focus on grammar here or language barriers or heavens forbid offend someone. Please explain to me the meaning of the reply. I am lost on that one.

I do not believe the city gives out warnings (I could be mistaken).  
 
You will just have to pay it and make sure your permit is up-to-date.  
 
They won't care if you tell them about other people parking on the street, longer than they should. They obviously weren't in the area to give out tickets at that time. Or, maybe the others have got tickets and you don't know.  
 
Pay it as soon as possible. I believe that some tickets increase if they are left too long - but that should say on the ticket.

You are calling me an idiot when you are the one that forgot to renew a permit and now have a ticket? I don't have a ticket so I am not quite so much an idiot.

not only regarding this post but there should not be issues or remarks on people writing grammar. First there are not posting questions about grammar spelling or sentences. Second some may not be their language or some were never good in grammar or some may be in a rush/or nervous to write here so their sentences are not worded so perfect.  
If grammar bugs you perhaps consider helping others to show how instead of mocking attitude.

Actually their should be remarks. I had a heck of a time trying to figure out what words should have been grouped together. The same poster wrote the same way in another discussion and in that discussion someone also commented that it is hard to understand what they are saying. If you want to come on here asking for help or advice at least try working with the readers to understand what you are saying. Funny thing is I tried to re-write in point form just to see if I was on the same page and a couple forum members that''s all they could focus on was my posts. At least I was commenting to the thread yet others had tunnel vision focusing on grammar. Gave me a good laugh though. Plus with the OP commenting on the second page. They write something and it totally makes no sense. Really it is comical to read about 1/3 of the page contains reply''s pertaining to what happened and 2-2/3 pages are about supposedly picking on someones grammar.  
 
This is the tread in a nutshell:  
-OP got parking ticket for having expired parking permit, even though had one renewed annually for the last 5 years.  
-Wants warning instead of ticket or to be reminded they need to renew permit.  
-Asks for Feedback  
-You were in the wrong with expired pass that you forgot to renew.  
-Broke the rules, got fined, pay the fine.  
 
Don't think I forgot anything.

Thank you fishingguy for trying to make the world of ebrandon understand what this woman is talking about. I had no idea either, still don't with the part where she wants to meet up...  
 
Either pay the ticket or take it to court. You may only have to pay half.
