"Let's pray for this person because they have a whole life of guilt ahead of them"? Are you serious?
The innocent victims have NO life! Their friends & families have to live with the aftermath of losing loved ones.
Don't crucify the person? Have you ever known a victim of a drunk driving crash to survive and have to live with life-altering head injuries? Loss of mobility (wheelchair 24/7)?
I can only hope that people stupid enough to get behind the wheel under the influence of anything, suffer as much if not more that the victims & their friends and families.
Getting into an accident while drinking and driving is not a matter of chance, it's only a matter of when. The innocent people affected are the ones who need prayers and a harsher justice system.
My good God, if Canada had the death penalty or adopted 'an eye for an eye' justice system, then maybe people would stop killing innocent people and would THINK before they "made a mistake". Alcohol is no excuse. You know right from wrong before you start drinking!
No sympathy here. You drive drunk, you're on your own.
