It does appear that theres a higher incidence of scam texts on bigger ticket merchandise such as vehicles. As always, any time its an inquiry where someone is not first meeting in person (no matter the excuse given) it is strongly recommended to not proceed since this is intended as a local and in-person service only. Never give out personal information, never share bank details and never click on links sent in text messages that are presented as a way to exchange funds. I believe that the more communication there is of the typical pattern that this kind of thing follows the better off and better informed we all are.
