My child was diagnosed with hearing loss earlier this year and requires hearing aids in both ears. Are there any resources, support groups or Facebook groups in Westman for parents of children with hearing loss? It would be nice to connect with other families. Or anything in Manitoba? This is all new to us and we are learning as we go. Thank you.

Check with one of these businesses. They might have some information. Best of luck with your search and to your child. There is so much new technology out there now for people with hearing impairments. Lots of new gadgets to play with.

Helix hearing centre has been amazing for our family. I have 2 children that have worn hearing aids for years. I remember how excited my son was the first time he brushed his teeth with his hearing aids in.....he had never been able to hear it before. You can also try calling the Society of Manitobans with Disabilities (SMD). We receive information from them about group activities and such for kids with hearing loss. They will be able to help you with a lot of information about support groups.
