I don't live in Brandon... And meeting a girl with a vehicle would take a load off me... It also shows me that she's somewhat responsible... Please people, don't turn this into a negative...

Her: "Well, thank you. What do we have in common?"  
 
Him: "A lot. But first... do you own a car?"  
 
Her: "No. I work for minimum wage and I am saving to enter Medical School. I travel by bus, bicycle or leg-power."  
 
Him" "Sorry. I guess I was wrong. We have nothing in common."

In a way I figured that you were not in the city, but that is also why I mentioned in my comment to Cee Jay that one does at times have to compromise themself a bit. My wife and I have been together for a very long time, and I believe that because of compromise we have stayed together. Not picking on anyone in general but relationships of the heart, as well as relationships of other kinds, do require people to go the extra mile at times. I guess people who have been in relationships that failed do carry a certain amount of baggage, and judging by some of the comments, some people refuse to let it go, which makes it extremely hard for any new relationship to work.  
Ill go back to some of the things you mentioned to make a point about compromise. If you found a woman with a career, who was making good money, and things worked out and you got married, and one day decided to have children, with the idea of a stay home mom, you would have to compromise on her having a career. Now if she was a woman who loved her job, and she decided that children and being a stay home mom was what the two of you would do, then she too would have to compromise.  
As we get older we really do get set in our ways, but that doesn't mean that we can't make changes, to gain certain things.  
 
Wish you the best in finding someone, I do know that it's a tough scene out there, but know that it's sort of like the lottery, the more people you get to meet the better you chances are.

CJ that was pretty funny, now a days, you have to have a mode of transportation. most job advertisements require a drivers license.. I'm no city slicker and my lifestyle requires having a vehicle.. To anyone reading this and taking this negatively or too seriously.. No ones perfect and everyone has specific needs and expectations...

I posted on here that I was single and I said a little about myself and I've had a couple people on here pm me and have had a couple great convos so far so once again pm me if you are interested in chatting and between the ages of 26 and 38.. There is the old story of the two women talking. Could be men, just makes the tale Simpler. They are sitting in a bar, coffee shoppe, whatever:

#1. I can just tell, so, I would rather be alone, live my own life with my dog, have the whole bed to myself.

Sure, some people forget what it is to treat a woman with dignity and respect. But not everyone falls into this hole.  
 
I think people give up too easily when they see 'the signs' or they turn their back at the first scent of 'destroyed men'.

Sometimes we need to look at what we expect from others, and ask ourselves whether or not we are able to fulfill those same areas for another. Then consider the possibility, as you've mentioned, that it might be too much to hold out for that one.
