Prople/groups shouldn't be allowed to block public highways for any reason. And some of the footage I've seen they set fire to their blockade of tires and pallets and god knows what else, huge plume of black smoke, while claiming to be environmental crusaders. " |

Did you know, the initial hearings never took place? That the land they are digging up is protected land, and the owners of the land. Be it farmers, or the local indigenous tribes. Have all been against the development of these pipelines since day one? And more people are getting on board.
People like you, are the reason why the aliens will not communicate openly with us. " |

I guarantee that all the farmers have not been against it from day one. There is thousands of dollars in kickbacks from the oil companies for accessing their land. Much like here in Canada it''s not like the pipelines come in, dig up the land and farmer Joe gets nothing from it.
The pipeline will happen one way or another. As of now it is the safest way to transport oil. Until we are able to solely rely on alternative energy and find other ways to manufacture/maintain/create etc everyday goods and services we should be supporting the safest method of crude transport currently available.
Whether we like to admit it almost every single one of us are reliant on this energy source for our everyday living from heating our homes to transportation to our everyday household goods. Edited by ChrisDA, 2016-11-16 00:46:59" |

I never once stated that all the farmers are against it. But there are some instances where they do not wish for their land to be torn up. Especially since the discovery of the burial sites.
The tribes surrounding the lake never agreed to allow the corporations to do their work, but they have moved ahead with the "development" unlawfully.
Bottom line is, they are breaking the law. And the people need to come together to stop this. But with the military and privatized police agencies who have been engaging in scare tatics, along with the macing, sic'ing attack dogs, and breaking the bones of the peaceful protestors, detaining them in dog cages, making them strip in front of large groups of agitators, and stripping them of basic human rights. This is not right.
This is the way things will continue to go, if noone will take a stand. And, it seems to always be the indigenous communities taking the brunt. Going through the most turmoil. Their suffering being made to be dismissed.
If there was something more I could do to prevent this development from going any further, I would.
Things have undeniably escalated beyond the peaceful standpoint that was reached months ago. Force has been used against the people, who have flexed back in very small ways. Comparitively speaking.
Let's not forget. This same body of water runs into the Assiniboine River. Which I already choose not to eat from, because of the local run off from the city.
