Target for opening is mid-Oct.
Have never tried and will def give it a shot. We spread our pizza buys around, but am always open to the idea of something new (emphasis on sub-$15 options).
Folks wondering about why so many pizza restaurants.... that seems to be the comment from some every time one opens including many that have opened and seem to be making a good go of things. The thing with pizza is its quick, its easy, its filling and its hard to beat it for feeding a group of people on a per-portion basis (I'll leave the health debate to someone else). Not saying I eat it every day of the week myself but I understand why its so popular with enough people to make the business case for so many outlets offering it... also taking into account that Brandon has 8000+ more potential pizza eaters living in it now than it did 10 years ago. I have no idea how Papa Johns prices but I get the impression that the higher up-market you try to go (e.g.. Verns) the harder you have to work for business.
One thing I like is the location... as central as it gets, as visible as it gets and a nice pairing being in the same mall as M & M (though I find the mall can be a little tricky to get into sometimes).
Another that I've liked whenever I've had it out of town is Panago. Based on the fact they're even in places like Kindersley, SK I wouldn't be surprised to see someone open one here some day.
