Wondering which restaurant has the best cheesecake in town?

I've only found it at Coffee Culture for variety types, and The Keg for traditional. The Keg was only $7/slice so it was pretty affordable for a coffee and cheesecake visit out.

Used to be Gulliver's .. Hands down.. Delish.

They have the best cheesecake if you like creamy cheesecake. YUMMY!!

but at my house. All my family loves it. because it is not the baked kind though.

Now my question would be...who has the best made fresh on premises, never frozen, not from a mix, large sliced, like homemade (but WAY better) & creamy smooth cheesecake like what Castelyns used to make? Now that was certainly the best Brandon has ever had. That was the type you slowly savored. I bet there is nobody in Brandon at this point that makes it like they did.  
 
I have had Coffee Culture desserts...and they are very good, but Castelyns was still better IMO.

In agreement Castelyns was the best. Burlington Ontario has Castelyns now. Miss it!

isn't a helpful answer. I think people would like to know where they can go locally to enjoy a great slice of cheesecake.

Thanks for the info Oryx. How long ago was Castelyns at that location? Is it the place that sold the chocolates?

Yes! That was the place. It was family owned by a lovely Belgian family. The main baker/chocolatier, Mark, went back to Belgium to hone his craft from some of the best. He learned well & did a spectacular job!  
 
I guess maybe a bunch of us need to do a road trip out to Burlington!?

I do remember the place but don't remember it being called Castelyns - selective memory, I guess - I recall how good the chocolates were but not the name of the shop!!

I'm remembering Scarlatti's, a great little place that sold superb Belgian chocolates and special coffees.

Scarlatti's - that's the one I recognize! Now I'm unsure again about Castelyns! Thanks for all the updates! And seeing as this thread is about where to get the best cheesecake in Brandon, I will put in my vote for The Keg.

but wasn't it the Castelyns that owned Scarlattis? Or were they two separate places?
