I bought a new Nissan Kicks in2019.Is anyone having problems with their Nissan revving too high in cold weather. I was told it was the cold management mode .I cannot drive over 40 kms or the revs are too high.

This might sound a little crazy but have you took your vehicle to the Nissan dealership and had them look at the problem you are experiencing?

Take it Fowler Nissan while its still cold out and get an early morning appointment. If you wait until the weather becomes half decent, they might not be able to duplicate your problem.

my sentra does this too. im pretty sure its normal to get the temperature up to normal operating in this cold weather.

I did take it to Nissan ,but i was wondering if anyone else was having this problem.

Have a 2017 Murano. No problem and I don't even plug my vehicle in.

will rev about 3,000 rpm driving around the city when the engine is cold - after several km the rpm will drop to about 1700 rpm - when I first owned this vehicle I was concerned but a tech at Nissan drove with me (car was cold) and said this is normal. Actually I really like the CVT and get incredible mpg - in the summer, using the A/C and driving 110 I can almost always achieve 48 - 50 mpg and always 30 + mpg for city driving using the A/C.  
 
Not part of your question but I've owned a Camry and Fusion and had multiple transmission problems even with low km- if I ever consider another Ford product I should have my head examined.

I am thinking it's a result of the extreme cold Temperatures. The folks at Fowler Nissan are second to none in their customer service and I'm sure will help you work through the problem!
