Scam Calls

Is it just us or is it happening to others. We have been getting at least 20 scam calls a day for the last couple of weeks.
Most of them are your Amazon account has all these charges, CRA and Bell.
We are to a point of canceling our land line but we need it for our house alarm.
What can we do?

And scam texts! I block the numbers but they just use a different number every time. It’s crazy.

Landlines

I'm pretty sure you can have a security system without a landline these days. It will use cell or the internet. You should check with your provider. You might need to upgrade your system, but you'll save money if you cab cancel the landline and piggyback on your existing internet.

Alarm works without landline

We have no land line. Our alarm runs off internet. No issues. We had Bell mts and worked but now use Starlink

The best thing we did to reduce scam calls was to get call display. screening calls and not answering the phone if you don't know the phone number.
The answering machine works well too.

We do have call display, but the problem is it rings every 20 minutes and my wife works from home. She will be on her work phone and its ringing away.
Thanks for all the suggestions may have to look into putting the alarm on the internet.
