At RFNOW Inc., we?re committed to building high-quality fiber optic infrastructure that helps power communities across the region. We?re looking for a motivated and forward thinking Assistant Controller to join our team and play a key role in the ongoing success of our growing organization.
Duties:
- Lead projects to automate accounts payable, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting
- Review daily accounting, including journal entries, banking, and accruals
- Assist with review of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting across multiple entities to ensure timely and accurate closings
- Oversee auditors during year end and liaise to assist with solving complex accounting issues
- Prepare 13 week cash flow forecasts
- Assist to manage tax and compliance with all applicable tax regulations, including GST and PST in Manitoba and Saskatchewan
- Maintain internal controls and safeguard company assets
- Maintain and improve processes in the company?s accounting systems and financial policies
- Assist the preparation of all Covenant reporting to the Company?s banking partners
- Support the Director of FP and A in the annual Budget process and Quarterly reforecasts
- Support project costing, capital expenditure planning, and grant funding compliance for infrastructure development.
- Mentor accountants and support an environment of continuous learning and development
- Other reasonable duties as required to support the Corporate Controller and business in general
Qualifications:
- CPA with 3 to 5 years of post-designation experience in industry
- Knowledge of ASPE
- High level of proficiency with Excel and accounting and financial reporting systems including NetSuite and Vena
