We are a large-scale, well-organized farm operation with a fleet of semis, grain trucks, service trucks, and trailers. Our heated, well-stocked shop provides a professional environment for reliable mechanical work.
Position Overview:
We?re hiring a Truck Shop Mechanic to service and maintain our transport fleet. This includes shop maintenance and field service calls using a provided service truck.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, suspensions
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Complete field service calls with the service truck
- Conduct safety inspections and documentation
- Support parts tracking and inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized shop
- Ideally mentor an apprentice
Qualifications:
- Truck & Transport Mechanic, Heavy Duty Mechanic, or equivalent experience
- Must have own tools
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Experience with transport trucks and trailers
- Valid driver?s license (Class 1 preferred)
- Willingness to work with an apprentice is an asset
