Posted by Adam in Local Sports, 2/7, 2:17 PM

Jordin Tootoo will always have a special place in the collective conscience of Westman. From seeing the pride of Rankin Inlet, Nunavut take the WHL by storm as a 16 year old rookie, later maturing into a professional player and most recently announcing his retirement from playing the game in Brandon there’s been a real interest locally in following his progression in the game and in life.

Those who have read his book “All the Way: My Life On Ice” will know that the road to adjusting to life in the biggest hockey league on earth was not an easy one. Recently #22 was interviewed as part of the Nashville Predators’ official podcast. In the interview he opens up about his struggles with alcoholism and the impact that the game has had on his life.
