As Western Manitobans bare down during these “stay at home” Code Red times, a pair of newly added interactive tours to this website are giving folks an opportunity to virtually pay a warmer season visit to two of the region’s favourite spots for rest, relaxation and connecting with nature.
Now available this week in the eBrandon “In 360” section are interactive walks along each of Minnedosa Beach and Clear Lake Beach/Marina. In each case, when first viewing the tour one starts on the sand of the respective beach... with an opportunity to look up, down and all around in 360 degrees as well as “walk” to subsequent scenes in the same area by clicking on corresponding arrows.
The photography in each was shot on what would be best described as an idyllic late summer day in September. While nothing can quite compare to putting your toes in the sand of either site, each tour serves as a “next best thing” sort of reminder of the beauty that awaits us on the other side of the snowy season that we now find ourselves in at whatever such time that authorities once again deem such excursions safe.
You can view either newly added tour in the “In 360” section available through the main eBrandon menu.
The section was launched last month featuring a wide assortment of virtual scenes from around Westman including not only a handful of popular parks and beaches, but popular facilities such as the Brandon University and the Keystone Centre. The two new additions being the total number of features tours to 22.
