You most likely read right here earlier this month that the doors had closed on Things Remembered’s Shoppers Mall location and that there was some uncertainty around the length and nature of the closure.
The store is now back open amidst what appears to be more uncertainty and a significant sale. This morning it was observed that the whole store is marked down at 80-90% off of original price with limited exceptions. Items noted as being on sale include clocks, wedding supplies, glassware and much of what you’d have seen for sale on your own previous visits. I was advised in-store that fixtures were also available for purchase.
At further look, Things Remembered has experienced change at the corporate level as per this link and it is not definitively clear what that ultimately will mean for Canadian stores and specifically Brandon.
A sign in front of the store indicates “last 7 days.” Though it could not be confirmed that the store will close on that date, taking everything known into account the best advice would be to stop in sooner rather than later if interested in what’s on sale and to hope for the best if you’re a regular patron. At any rate I’m sure it goes without saying to please be courteous with the good folks that work there under what appear to be difficult circumstances.
