The i's are about dotted and the t's all but crossed. The City has made the announcement that a lot of folks have been waiting for, the well-used Public Skating Oval at the Waterfall of Lights is set to open on Friday at 4pm.
The oval has become a popular pastime for folks in the area in recent years but its opening date has never been something you can completely set your watch to because of our unpredictable weather and the conditions necessary to prepare. In fact on a quick check this is the earliest opening date in at least four years. Its great to see that folks will have a good solid week and a half of use this year leading into the holidays!

The sign that's currently on site at the oval that's included in the picture in this post appears to have incorrect hours shown on it. The City press release indicates that it will open an hour earlier at 11am, staying that way for a full 12 hours until 11pm.
