After having had a period of relative stability, if prices posted at a couple of local gas stations this afternoon are any indication the amount you pay at the pump may be in for a big jump.
As noted by eBrandon member Jordynsdad this afternoon in the discussion thread that I've attached to this post, Shell’s Corral Centre location is posting a price of 112.9 as of 3:00pm, representing a significant bump from the sub-$1.00 prices that folks may have become accustomed to over the past while.
On a quick check of Gasbuddy, Shell’s Highland Ave location is showing the same $1.129 and Coop on 18th Street North was observed at that same price. Highway Esso is $1.059 and all other stations remain under $1.00, though change appears to be in the air. The most current prices can be found on the Gasbuddy page for Brandon at http://www.manitobagasprices.com/Brandon/index.aspx
According to Gasbuddy data, the average pump price in Manitoba right now is $1.07 with a rising trend... seeming to indicate that what we're seeing today is no fluke. If the change does hold at 13 cents, that represents about $6.50 on a 50 litre fill-up.
